Does anyone know what your very first obgyn appointment is like? What all do they do?

Things they did for both of my pregnancies were urine tests, blood pressure, weight, and my doctor, I don't know about any one else's, but he does a pap smear the first appt if you are due for one. He's very careful with it. I was due for one in March so I know that if/when I become pregnant, that he'll be doing that the first thing.

We had to schedule an ultrasound to determine actual due date when I didn't know my LMP. He did check me and pressed down on my lower stomach and up with his other hand inside to get a quick estimate by hand about how big my uterus felt. Which isn't always accurate. The last time I was there when I was pregnant he estimated my uterus to be around 6 weeks but I was 9 weeks along. Don't be nervous. It really is a piece of cake.

at mine they checked my blood pressure, weighed me, did a urine test, papsmear, breast exam, and asked me alot of questions

Its usually between 6-12 weeks pregnant. They do a pregnancy urine test, protein (urine) test, ultrasound;to give you due date and make sure the fetus is growing good.

Didn't have an ultrasound until 20 weeks ...

My doctor did a vaginal ultrasound.i was 8 weeks at my first appointment.

Had my first apt round 6 weeks ..bp check , urine check , blood tests ,weight check, paps smear, breast exam, alota questions about my familys medical history as well as my husbands ,also alot of dos and donts from doc... Got ultra sound at 7 weeks for dating viability

Urine test , draw blood,  get your weight. And check your blood pressure. Some may give you an ultrasound but my first appointment they didn't.  Whens your first appointment?

I got an ultrasound done with all 3 of my pregnancies so they could see how far along I was.
