short cervix!

Has anyone been told they have a short cervix? Im really nervous im on bed rest can my baby just come when it wants?

It got worst!  Im at a 1.4 NO cerclage im 26weeks today.. im not on progerstron pills I have to insert vaginaly, all I can do is pray and wish I make it to at least week28

stories sound soooo similar i have a short cervix too ...i was a 3.8 n over a week or so went dwn to 3.1 ...i had another transvag ultrasound monday so idk what it is ill knw sat at my appt...but ive learn to try not to worry as much but st times i do ...but im on modified bedrest with a cerclage and p17 shots every wedk...n im now 19 wks 4 dys....i lost my son last july due to thus issue! im just praying i can make like u ladies have !

I have the samething and I found out with my first because things went badly n I wasn't on bedrest so I was still working. But now I'm 16 n 3 and I've been on bedrest for almost a month now. I wish you the best of luck listen to your doctor and all of the lovely ladies advice.

I'm now 36 weeks and have been on bed rest2 since I was 20 weeks due to short cerix. I've made it this far and I know you can also:) I was scared at first cause they were like the baby cld just fall out but bed rest helped a lot.and drink lots of water cause if not contractions can start. Yes I need to just relax ive jus been hearing bad news back to back.. my baby had a ds risk I was super stressed came back he's perfect now this but im happy u are holding .8 do u ever get contractions because I think from time to time I have that's why im at 2 now..

I know it's a scary thing, believe me my first week after finding out I was besides myself, but as I continue to go back and see that I remain the same gives me  peace and hope. Just try to stay of your feet if possible, don't pick up anything heavier than a phone book and try not to strain... Try stool softeners (Colace)... I've read so many positive and reinforcing stories on-line and recently met a mommy on the fb group who has had seven kids 3 with a shortening cervix and she's been able to deliver at 38.5...

I have a short cervix at 19 weeks I was at 2.2 the next week my cervix went down to 0.8 my obgyn sent me to see a high risk doctor and i decided to so a cerclage. I been on strict bedrest since 19 weeks and taking progesterone suppositories; I am now currently 28. Yes you can go into preterm labor of your cervix continue to shorten and you dialate. But with my strict bedrest my cervix is still at 0.8 it is holding and I believe the cerclage is probably the only reason. Just stay off your feet and think positive you can do it I know it can be stressful is was for me but I am making it you can too.

I recently found out at 24 weeks that my cervix is shortening. I went from a 4.5 to a 2.8 in a matter of 5 days, with some funneling... It could cause preterm labor, but it is possible to make it to fullterm or close to. I get cervical checks every week and I've been on the progestrone shots since 16 weeks... I am currently 26 weeks 4 days and I am still at a 2.8 and on moderate bed rest...
