Let your baby come in his/her own time. Your lucky your doctor is telling you to wait. There is no medical evidence showing that inducing or letting bub stay in there a bit longer is bad for you or the baby. Baby will come when they are ready.

If your baby is past the due date call your doctor if not GO TO THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE YOUR BABY CAN DIE INSIDE THE WOMB

If youre 38wks n want to attempt to break your own water just say so no reason to lie to us and the only way to get an adequate answer iI is if you give the right information. As for CAN you do it yourself? Yes. Very painfully and with risk of scraping and damaging other vaginal parts. And also with a severe bacterial risk to both you and baby. That is the ONLY way to break your own water yourself. However, many women feel if they walk, squat, and have sex it helps speed the process along. Theres the answer I guess your friend and you wanted.

It is never safe to break your own water. Only 10-15% of women have their water break naturally before labor starts. Don't stress on it so much. Baby will come when ready

I thought you said you were 38 weekk less than a day ago? Either way 38 or 40 I dont think you should try to do anything until you ask your doctor! Except the usual stuff like walking and sex to try to get labor started maybe then the doctor will break your water for ya :)

Breaking your own water isnt a good idea. Theres no way to safely do it yourself.
try natural things like squatting and lots of walking or try stimulating presure points or having sex or drinking Raspberry leaf tea or taking warm baths or using primrose

Idk, but you shouldn't even try to do anything, it could obviously be very dangerous.
