worried i might have hurt my baby

this might sound really stupid when i say it but just now i have been stuck in my bathroom for an hour the door wouldn't open i shouted on my son but he was sleeping and my partner is at work so i tried everything to get out but nothing wasn working so i broke down the door and when i did that i winded myself the way i did it was i held the handle and pushed my hip onto the door and winded myself could i have hurt my baby because i did that or am i being daft io have no pains now just feel a but stupid getting locked in my bathroom any help would be lovely thank you

I seriously doubt your baby was hurt in your busting through the door! lol props to you by the way! You hit the door with your hip and that baby is in the center of your womb fully protected! If all is normal, movement/activity wise from the baby then I would say you are okay. I would call the dr and let them know if you feel it necessary though. You go girl! lol Watch out, preggo lady bustin down doors! Please don't take offense to it, I am just saying that if I were in your situation I would feel powerfull! lol

i actually couldn't stop laughing when i did it but it was bloody sore lol i dont have any pains so i will see how i am later if i feel im getting pain i was call the dr but i just feel stupid getting stuck in the bathroom i didnt know what to do and because my kids are in the house i knew i had to get out and the only way to do that was to break down the door lol thank you for your comment it did make me laugh i just need o ge new door now lol thank you again x

So you kind of "butt bumped" the bathroom door to get out?  Just trying to understand exactly what you did to get out ... I know cops use their shoulders and ram doors that way.

Truthfully, I don't think it would have hurt the baby.  They have *lots* of cushioning in there.  It would have to take something very traumatic and harmful to you to really hurt a baby floating around in there.

If you experience any pains or discomfort, call or go to your DR and let him/her know what happened.  Or, if you know you're just going to worry yourself to death, give your DR a call and see what s/he says about the situation!

i basically did what the police do lol i couldn't get out any other way i feel fine i have had a wee lie down and i feel fine just got bruised arm ouch lol thank you for your comment if i have ant pain i will call my dr x

just thought give a wee update well i went to bed after i smashed down my door and when i got up this morning i tried my fetal doppler and found the babys heartbeat so its doing fine thank you for all your comment and i wont be jumping through doors anymore lol

When i was younger I had to take the hinges off!!! thank god for screwdrivers and men/boys who left them laying around the house (including thebathroom)

do you know i was thinking of doing that but my bathroom is upstairs and because im pregnant i didnt want to chance climbing out my window and falling i did try to shout on my son but he was sleeping and didnt hear me so the only way out was through the door lol and that i what i did my son went in the bathroom this morning i forgot to tell him not to shut the door because he wont be able to get out but he shut the door and it took me and my fiancee an hour to get him out my son thought it was funny we couldn't get him out so we had to break it down with a hammer lol what a great day i have had but im just glad i didnt hurt my baby last night when i heard the heartbeat i could relax so am happy and feel a bit stupid too lol.

Man you guys are brutal with that door! lol Sounds like you're going to have to get a new one! lol That would have been quite amusing with the whole window thing but I second you not trying it. You never know what could have happened. I carry my cell phone with me everywhere, bathroom, kitchen, anywhere in the house or wherever I go....its just a habit, but maybe its a good one lol.
