A friend of mine was so happy since she didnt get any stretch marks WHILE she was pregnant (NicoleW09) and yup s soon as she delivered she had the bright red ones within a week. I secretly was happy. I was jealous she hadn't gotten them. I felt a little bad but not really. Sorry:( I would rather have them during pregnancy so I don't have to be shocked by them afterwards.
just wait girl....once you give birth you'll have a whole new appreciation for what your body is capable of and a whole new respect for it, stretch marks and all. I didn't get stretch marks with my pregnancies but my belly got so big both times that it took me quite a long time to work the belly blob down (I got it down just in time to get pregnant again with #2, lol) - but after my first was born I had this new awesome respect and love for my body and what it's capable of...and it helped me accept all the new flaws that come with motherhood. :-)
LOL at LosingmymindinGA, I also have them on my hips, thighs and boobs from puberty, but you can BARELY see them. I don't mind them, My new stretch marks are continuing from where my old stretch marks left off (if that makes any sense). I really can deal with the ones that I have right now, even my new ones look old/faded, and I believe that's because I have been OVER EXCESSIVELY pouring bio oil and other product onto them lol. I just reallly don't want them ALL over my tummy =/ I'm 21, and just a couple of years ago I learned to accept my body and I feel like I just learned to love it and now I'm pregnant, and I will have to start this process alllllll over again. Which *****. But my fiance swears that he does not care about my stretch marks, and he swears that he still thinks I'm sexy. sooooo that's a plus lol.
I had that problem too. I got stretch marks when I hit puberty and hit a growth spurt. Then I got more when I picked up some weight. Then when I got pg would you believe I didn't get the first one?!? However, after I gave birth...well...they showed up over night. Lol.
I have the same problem LOL. I had stretch marks on my hips by the time I was 13. But it kinda worked in my favor because I didnt get anymore the first time I got pregnant.
If it makes you feel better- my 14 yo daughter has them on her boobs, hips and thighs simply becuase she hit a huge growth spurt and grew REALLY fast..she went from a training bra to a D cup in less than a year and a half. She's only 14 and doesn't have a baby to show for em (Thank God)
I have stretch marks ON my stretch marks. After 6 full term pregnancies I have no hope of them ever going away. I look at them as my souvenirs from the wonderful journey of creating a life!!! (even if they do resemble a world atlas LOL)
I got them on my calves as well. Those actually have faded the most.
My sister got stretch marks on her inner arms, lol. You can get them in the weirdest places.
yeah guys, but on my calves?? lol I mean, really?
I call them my marks of motherhood, I have over time learnt and come to terms with the fact that my body has done an amazing thIng to make and carry a baby xx
Im sorry to hear that. im 27 weeks and only have a couple on one boob..i think most of it depends on how much weight you gain and how fast you gain it because if your gaining the weight fast then your skin is going to stretch fast which will of course cause stretch marks. but if your not gaining a whole lot of weight it just may mean that the elatisity in your skin isnt that great. there is nothing that will slow them down though! it ***** i know but its part of motherhood lol
Nothing you do is going to make them fully go away. Except maybe surgery. Bio oil will help them fade a little but nothing is going to make them disappear. Like Clysta said they will fade to a silvery color with time. Consider them marks of everything you have gone through to get your bundle of joy!
they will fade over time. they are not pleasant but nothing can be done really! although bio oil makes them disappear quicker i find. it does take a few months but i think bio oil reduces healing time
Sadly, no. They will happen regardless of what you use, or how often you actually use it. I didn't get any stretch marks on my belly, but got a few on my breasts, back and one on my inner thigh. I didn't use anything, except lotion a few times for dry skins. It's all about genetics. Usually over time they will fade to a silvery white kind of colour.
