baby movements or contractions

I know this might be a stupid question, but....
I can't tell if I'm having contractions or if she's just pushing.
My entire stomach doesn't get hard just parts of it, but it lasts for a few minutes and my back also tenses up and I feel pressure on my bladder when this happens, I also get really nauseated.

When I was pregnant with my son I was contracting but did not know it after three previous natural births I know what a contraction FEELS like but with this one only part of my stomach would get hard and then loosen and my back hurt really bad I was in the shower for like 30 mins with the spray on my back to get relief but none came called doc she said come in sounds like your in labor at 38 weeks I was and the fibroid that I had outside my uterus and in between my bladder prevented my baby from going into the birth canal also preventing me from so called normal contractions, the severe back pain was my experienced docs only indication and mines that I was in labor. So please listen to your body your symptoms may not be the norm. Had successful epidural  c section baby in my arms in recovery room and fibroid was 8cm. Note fibroid was discovered with this pregnancy not previous ones.

I'm 34 weeks and 2 days, I haven't tried shaking my tummy to see if it changes. It usually starts under both of my breast, like right in the middle and when it does my entire lower back feels tense. Like I said it doesn't hurt or anything and honestly it's not that uncomfortable.

i also thought the same w my first contraction but i would lightly shake my tummy and it wouldnt change..usually whn my daughter pushes out on my whole belly and i shake her she will move.. during the contraction whn u shake there is no change it just stays rock hard... but i guess just like every womans body is diff so is every baby but if u feel it threw out ur back mre then likely it is a contraction.. i am 39weeks so they become regular to me they r not painful atleast nothing that isnt too painful more of an uncomfortable feeling
