telling parents

How'd you tell your parents?  I'm 18 and out of school I'm 3 days away from being 20 weeks pregnant..  I know I'm grown but it's hard to tell your parents regardless of age.

Hahaha these are great stories. When I got pregnant with ny first, my boyfriend and I were only together 2 months. My dad didn't like him because he is 7 years older than me. Well...my mom's mother had just passed away. So I waited to tell them so she could be home and be not have to tell her over the phone. So when she got back in town, I told her I needed to talk to her. My sister gave her 3 guesses and she guessed first thing. I laughed so hard because I was scared I guess. She made me go to the health department and get a confirmation (5 tests total) At supper that night we were all really quiet and fidget-y. He asked my mom what was going on. After supper I was crying so bad outside. My boyfriend came out there and we were trying to figure out how to tell him. My mom said she could tell him for us which I agreed to instantly. Haha. Lets just say I ran outta the house leaving my poor bf alone. My dad was FURIOUS! He broke a garden hoe in half and went yo see my popped. They finally got over it. We got married when I was 4 mo pregnant. We have a beautiful 17 mo old and I still haven't told them we are expecting our 2nd child. I'm 10+3 now. Lets see how it goes!!! Also I don't live with them and haven't since I was 20+ weeks pregnant. I'll be 23 on Nov 5

I told my parents after they came back from there trip and my mom was just shocked . I seen so much argue in her but after awhile they get over it. Theres really not much to do besides step aside and let you become the great parent they taught you to be :)

First pregnancy I was so scared I told my sisters first before I told my mom and we told my mother in law first also we were going to Tennessee and my sister called me and asked me if i told her yet and I said no not yet and my mom was like tell me what. I then showed her the test and she hit the steering wheel and said son of a *itch only yes i showed her while she was driving (which wasnt a good idea lol) but she doesnt like my husband but she was upset at first but was happy in the end bc she had another grandbaby but now she doesnt come around or make an effort to see my kids.

I was 21 when I told mines. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. My parents are those strict religious hispanics. Lol i just sat down with both and told them "we did something we weren't supposed to do and now I'm pregnant." Lol  They didn't speak to me for like over a month.  They made me feel really ******. But they got over it. And their so excited for my baby boy. I'm 34 weeks now and they can't wait for his arrival.  That's all they talk about. Me and my babys fathers use to go out back in the day when I was like 17, we broke up at age 19. Aha and I my parents had thought me and him were done so it was hard to tell them oh I'm pregnant by my ex. Lol we've been back together since the beginning of my pregnancy but it was still hard to explain my parents everything.  Lol

I just sat down with them and told them... Or blurted it out lol but i'm 24 and married but regardless it's still a bit scary telling your parents... Just remember your parents love you and only want the best in life for you. No matter what they'll get over it in a few weeks even if they do get upset! Best of luck momma!!

I was nervous to just because it is big news. My family was so excited though! It's best to just tell them and get it over with, and let the spoiling begin. Lol.

I made sure my dad had a couple beers before I told him being a daddy's girl and all it helps. Plus being in a public area or around other people helps too
