I just found out that I had pcos as well my doctor was trying to put me on BC I told her I wasn't interested and that I was trying to have a baby they did bloodwork and prescribed me metformin
Most birth control pills specify that if you miss a pill you should take two the next day.
I have PCOS and have conceived naturally twice this year (first ended in miscarriage, second is 12 weeks and keeping fingers crossed) so it is possible.
Just with missing pills. If you miss a day of the pill you should never take double the next day. Not good for you. Just take one normally and be aware that you are not protected for 7 days from pregnancy.
Birth control is NOT the only solution for PCOS. Diet, exercise, losing weight (or gaining if you're underweight), Metformin, holistic remedies, etc. I absolutely hate it when doctors just put women on birth control instead of helping them heal because birth control could cause more issues down the road.
Check into other options and maybe find a new physician who wants to help you heal and have a baby! I'm pregnant with #4 and I have PCOS.
Talk to your doctor about medications other than oral contraception that will treat your PCOS while allowing you to possibly conceive. Women being treated for PCOS do have children...there are meds available to help you.
