Bouncing to induce labor

So this may sound weird but I'm bouncing on the end of my bed since I don't have a yoga ball. I've been bouncing for a couple minutes now and it's painful in my lower stomach to bounce. And if I sit over to far it hurts. Did anyone else bounce to induce labor and have these pains? Do they mean anything?

I don't think I bounced for more than 30 minutes. I ended up going in because the pressure was just terrible and come to find out I'm still only 2cm dilated, 70% effaced, and station -1. I was having contractions every 2-6 minutes but they sent me home because it wasn't anything they could keep me for. I woke up this morning and everything is back to normal and my due date is tomorrow! I was going to keep bouncing today but I wasn't sure if it was safe.

Im bouncing on a ball too. I get that pain. Its the head engaging i started doing it because im not dilated or effaced and i was told the pressure of the head is what releases the chemical in your body that start dilation and effacement. The pain usually goes away when i sit a relax. How long does yours last.

I did the exact same thing as you. I was having false labor contractions for a week honestly they were so consistent and kept coming every 2 our 3 minutes so I began bouncing a day before my due date honestly hours away and at 1 in the morning (my due date) I began having contractions this time they hurt a bit more than before. I kept feeling like I was going to throw up & as if I really needed to go to the bathroom. When I went to use the restroom and wiped I say my mucus plug. I just knew I was in labor and yup only 4 hours of pain and she was out. (:
