So far it isn't bad. I just got my apartment the beginning of August though.
I just got my interview for public housing after a 3 year wait.
I lived in pubic housing through the housing authority for 12 years. Every year they try to throw you out. Even if you dont break any of their rules (many of which are unconstitutional and against many religious rights) they will make up some story and have witnesses and you will be homeless. The only part I liked was the 30 % of your income rent. My best advice is find low income housing that has nothing to do with the housing authority. They made me and mymom homeless and I cant forgive them
