venting/doc going on vaca

Im 37wks... next week my doc check how dilated i am... she walks in my appt. Today and says "so which doctor do you want to see next week?" I love my doctor, but if I go into labor before i'm 39 weeks, she'll be gone.  Freaking out!!!!

My original doc delivered my son and planned on her delivering my daughter this may. But she just had an emergency csection and had twins at 26 weeks so she will be out for a while. Now I have to meet the other doc in the office at my 33 wk apt ...I'm nervous and scared cause I was so comfortable with my regular doc now I gotta meet this one at the last minute!

I know its frustrating but they have families and lives too. When u meet the other doc just ask alot of questions to try to get comfortable with them IF they end up being ur doc at delivery

My doctors practice you see each doctor once before your due date toward the end bc odds are when we go into labor our primary doc will not be the on call doc that day. I dontlike it bc im so comfortable w my primary, but id rather see them all and have an idea who will be "down there" when my childs life is in their hands. I feel for you! Just try to view it in a positive way momma :)
