The hospital I'm going to takes up a whole zip code almost. I think I'll need a tour. But mommyofhayden that's a good idea, to go with aanother prego.
I didn't do a visit but we have very small hospital, and I have been there many time with other family members and friends so I knew how it all worked.
The hospital i am going to have my baby at had a tour of the entire maternity ward. I was 20 weeks around the time i toured and went went my SIL who was 35 weeks.
Ok congrats hope all goes well. Im in Victoria about 3 hours from Melbourne. Sumtimes id wonderd if i was the only one from Austraia. Dont think theres many of us.
Yes. I'm in brissy though. I have a 2.5 year old and am due 14th may. The hospital I go to just had a big renovation and the rooms are beautiful. I had to be booked in by 12 weeks to guarantee a spot. It's a specialty maternity hospital north side. Am being booked in for another csection.

Are you from Australia Cassjoycie?
Warrnambool in Australia.
Im actually going to visit the maternity ward at my hospital tomorrow im a ftm and my aunt did it before me and said it was a good idea. But idk much about it just yet but I feel like its a good idea so your not heading in there and not knowing what you can and can't do and get any questions you have out of the way so your not asking em as your going into labor.
I had to set up the appointment myself and tell them how many people I'd be brining on the tour but that might just be my hospital and im 33 weeks and 3 days along so it doesn't really matter whenever you feel comfortable going and doing that type of thing I feel like I should have done it earlier cuz being on my feet for too long kills my back.
In Australia we have to book in the hospital and they take us through the ward then, show you where delivery rooms. I booked in over the phone and was told to go up and have a look. I had my son at this hosy 5 years ago and its all been renovated so im keen to see the ward although i think il run out if time with only 2 weeks left.
I'd like info on this too. And do you call the hospital and get it set up or does your doctor do it?
