could I still be pregnant?

I am currently 30. The first time I got pregnant was in ‘03 when I first met my now husband. Getting pregnant then seemed so simple and we weren’t trying. I had been on the depo shot for quite sometime and then came off of it. And now I have a 7 year old. When he was born I went back on the shot due to him having a lot of medical problems and we didn’t want to take a chance of this reoccurring, but with a little more research we now know that the odds of this happening are slim. But I just recently came off the shot and then went back on it in May of 2011 and I was supposed to get another one in August, but I didn’t. My husband and I are now trying to conceive again, but it just seems like it’s impossible. But my periods have been weird in the last 2 months. And this has been with normal ones coming off the shot the second time. In December I bled on the 27th and 28th, stopped on the 29th, and then started back up again on the 30th and 31st. We had intercourse on the 1st of January and again on the 4th and 6th. And my ovulation day showed to be on the 8th, but yesterday on the 23rd I have started bleeding again, but it’s yet again not a normal bleed for me. If anyone can shed some light on this it would truly be helpful…

I was on depo for 6 years and got off after my doctor suggested me to. I got off it in September 2011 and had very light, and gone in a day periods which I didn't think they were my periods. 3 months later I didn't even get a light one like I had been getting so I took a test and it was positive. I conceived about a month after stopping my shot. I was very surprise because my doctor told me it would take me 6-18 months to get pregnant. So it does happen but everyone is different. if you dig deep on this site you'll see lots of folk have had verydifferent experiences of the depo when ttc. my personal experience was that after a year off it I had 2 days very light bleeding before falling pregnant (and that happened with both my kids). everyone seems to be out of sync for at least a while (apart from the few who actually get pregnant while on it) I'm sure it will settle for you and you'll get there in the end, good luck x
