Boys are easier than girls when it comes to changing a diaper.
The hospital does show you, it looks like they're rough, but its okay. Before you take off the diaper, fill the baby's tub with luke warm water, swaddle baby in towel and hold the baby under your arm like a foot ball with his or her head over the tub while supporting the neck, use a wash cloth to wet the baby's hair, then put the shampoo, rinse the baby's hair with the wash cloth, then unwrap baby and put him or her in the bath and proceed to wash babys body.
Check out "Caring for your Newborn" on YouTube. I did BC I was nervous about changing a boy diaper BC I've only had to take care of girl babies.
There is this app called my baby from baby center and they show you videos on how you can bathe your baby and how you can care for him. And its free.
Ok awesome:) I'm gonna make a list of questions so i don't get overly excited and forget. That happens a lot
Just ask you , they'll also show you how to breastfeed as well (:
And by the way your not going to break your baby...
I don't wanna wash my baby wrong :( I'm not gonna leave the hospital till some one shows me lol
You will all be fine they are a lot more sturdy than you think. I am not sure if they show you but if you ask then they will
I'm a ftm as well. I do have experience with babies of all ages. I believe they will show you. I also think they just take sponge baths or wipe downs until the cord falls off
My hospital didn't show me.. it's a just gotta wing it type deal! My baby's father held the baby while I gently wiped the baby dowm seeing how at first you can't give them a real bath.
When you registered at the hospital did u ask if they show you?:0
I have 6 days and I'm still scared about thay! Lol
Lol I'm the same way thats why I'm asking, I'm scared to bathe my baby. I have 120 days to figure it out if baby doesn't come early
I believe the hospital shows you. I'M terrified thinking about giving my baby a bath. I don't even change other people babies clothes cause I'M afraid I'll hurt them lol they're so fragile.
