breasts leaking 17 weeks

So I was in the shower this morning and I sort of pressed down on my breasts and they started leaking.  Is it normal for it to happen this early on in pregnancy

Not really sure on the breast pads, as I am not leaking yet or anything. But my mom told me to save a little money money to just get some thick panty liners and put them in your bra, shirt, etc. That's what I plan on doing.

I don't plan to express it. I just noticed it today and wasnt sure if it was normal so early. I am going to keep an eye on it and if I start leaking more I will get the pads now instead of later.

yep its colostrum and its normal...breasts can be one of the first changes woman notice when they become pregnant... tenderness, nipple color changes, ect... you body starts getting into gears to get the glands functioning... everyone is different when they notice colostrum and if they notice it at all but its perfectly normal...

i wouldnt suggest trying to express it or stiimulating it in that way as it may cause them to leak more... for the most part you may just notice a little bit crusted onto the nipple but some woman do leak quite a bit before delivery so its best to have breast pads on hand just incase... i reccomend a good brand name pad as i got the cheap walmart kind last time and they were bulky and very noticeable... not so cool! lol
