work!

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and work in a restaurant. Everything here makes me nauseous. Every time I turn around there's some new smell making me run to the bathroom. Not too mention I work the night shift from 11pm until 7am which drains my energy and makes it hard to stay awake. Is anyone else having similar problems? Please help :(

I'm sorry about the situation you're in :( I've been in that position before with my last job but I wasn't pregnant. I agree with taianasmum try having a nap Iususally do before work too and with the nausea try eating fruit or ask your doctor for tablets they work a treat! From the sounds of it your boss needs a kick in the arse! Oh and smell orange or lemon peels if you start to feel sick Haha wish you all the best

Unfortunately my boss isn't the easy going kind. I'm paid under the table so any inconvenience I stir up I get the boot. Going on leave or taking particularly bad days off included. I don't get scheduled breaks, if there are no takes to wait on I have to be cleaning. Makes everything quite difficult. I'd quit but I'm my only source of income at the moment while the boyfriend has zero dollars in the bank account and is between jobs.

Yeah that's true I find that when I was extremely tired or stressed I would have more morning sickness then when I had enough sleep.

I work in retail but my store is next to the food court and I feel your pain! I'm 8 weeks and 1 day but my doctor told me if you get extremely exhausted, need to vomit every 5 seconds you are best to notify your work whats going on or go on leave :) hope that helps and goodluck! :)

Yes I worked at subway my first pregnancy with 9 hours of being on my feet and the bread smell was horrid. Just make sure you take the time to rest on your breaks and drink lots of water and remember to take your prenatal. The ted hose socks that help your circulation are great for being on your  feet and will help prevent varicose veins. The smells Is hard to escape but most people stop being so sensitive when they enter second trimester
