You'll be okay (: I had to be induced for my first because I never dilated or went into labor naturally.
Just treat yourself and get pampered just before you're due. I did and it helped me to relax.
I delivered late 40+5 I didn't reliever normally but that was not any complications with my son it was the fact that my hips never spread so I didn't dilate past 6 cm but I had no signs of labor until I went to the bathroom and when I was done I thought my water broke, it was really just a membrane bursting I called my doctor and she told me to come in and they kept me because if they would have sent me home I would have went into labor the next day. I was 1 cm from my 36 week appointment until the day I went in then in the matter of an hour I went from 1 to 3 before they started any potosin, then they started that and I went from 3-6 in the matter of 4 hours and just stopped. Good luck, you are no less of a woman if you need a c section, it's major surgery and it's still a beautiful thing.
I had no signs of labor,i was 1cm dialated from week 34 until the the day I gave birth when I went from 1-10 pretty quick. I delivered at 39w 5d, so only 2 days early. I woke up at 10am and my water broke, was at the hospital by 11am. Contractions didn't start until 1pm and I got an epidural at 4pm which made the contactions barely noticable until about 10pm but even then they weren't bad. Between 5pm and 9pm I went from 2cm to 10cm. I started pushing at 11 and my daughter was born at 11:27pm on December 15th. I'm a first time mom as well and I just turned 19 so I know how scary it seems. It really wasn't nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. The worst part is the soreness afterwords, but I'm now 7 weeks post partum and feel back to normal down below lol. I wish you the best of luck and congratulations!
This is SO common. I personally had my first 3 days before her actual due date and I had absolutely no signs of labor. I literally just woke up one morning to go pee and had some of my mucus plug on the tissue when I wiped and contractions slowly started after.
It is super common for first time mom's to go past their due date as well. So no worries. You are just fine.
