Good or bad?

im 39 weeks & 2 days. I'm 75% effaced and 1cm dilated. Is this good or bad? I expected to have dilated more.

I walked like 6 miles sunday and I have been bouncing on an Excerise ball for about an hour each day. :/

I'm on my feet all day at work that might have something to do with my dilation...Go for a long walk it should help you dilate

I'm 3cm dilated and 70% effaced and have been where I am at for 2 weeks now without any change.. go back to the doctors today for a check up

I was 50% effaced and 1/2 cm dilated at 37 1/2 weeks. So it seems real slow... I feel like I'm going to be prego forever.

Nothing to worry about. Most women don't dilate at all until after labor has started.

When I was pregnant with my daughter at 40wks exactly I was 2cm dilated I went on until 40+3 when my waters broke and when I went to hospital I was only 3cm dilated and I had her 7 and half hours later so I wouldnt worry but if you have any concerns your best phoning your midwife or hospital im on my 2nd pregnancy and im 38+4 weeks and im 3/5 fifths palpable and was told on the 22nd of December I was in early stages of labour as I was getting contractions but then they decided just to stop

Unfortunately I have been 2 cm dilated and 50 percent effaced for three weeks.  I get checked again today to see if there is any progress. 5 days over die now.

Well it's not bad. It just means you're getting close. You could stay at 1cm for days or weeks, but since you're 75% effaced too then you sound like you're progressing. It doesn't necessarily mean you'll have the baby today though. It could still be a few days.
