Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans

Is there any conditions or diseases that DFSP is seen more often in?  I have posted the question before, but never get any replies.  I was hoping someone more knowledgeable than I, might have some insight.  Thanks to anyone.  Karen

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
I am sorry you got no replies earlier.
The incidence of the neoplasm is twice as much in blacks as in whites. This is not known to be associated or found more frequently with any other disease or condition. However the enzyme involved (tyrosine kinase) is also involved in other malignancies. Malignancies either associated with or thought to be associated with activated tyrosine kinase enzymes include hypereosinophilic syndrome, systemic mastocytosis, chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
