Whats going on?

My girlfriend isn't worried, becuase shes been living with it her whole life i guess. But it worries me. She says she wakes up daily with headaches, and sometimes chest pain, and her chest is hypersensative, but x-rays, and cat scans show no reason for it. She doesnt have high blood pressure. Right now she's sick. She gets sick often, and it's usualy worse than what people normally get. She says that she is so sensative, and in pain that even just brushing her leg hurts, becuase it puts pressure on her. She's always dizzy and nausious, and throws up often. She loses her appetite completly, and it's actually painful to eat. She cant sleep. Last nigh she said she felt like at one point she was going to pass out. The thing is, she gets sick so often. She was out of school to the point where her parents were almost taken to court for neglect. Her parents are great people, so thats out of the question. I'm just worried, and i want to know whats going on. I can tell you now it's no std, becuase im the one she lost her virginity to, and vice versa.

Hi,

It is good that her x-ray and ct scans were normal. Headache is a common result of head injury and it might persist for months or years following head trauma. Although it is also associated with a variety of symptoms such as dizziness, insomnia, difficulties in concentration and mood and personality changes.  In most patients, the frequency and severity of the headache diminishes with the passage of time.

Usually, this generates more anxiety, fear and resentment than injury to other parts of the body. The accompanying muscle contraction and vascular changes compounded by emotional reactions may produce further anxiety and lead to a self-perpetuating cycle. Head pain generally responds to the pain medications.  Strengthening her immune system through proper diet, adequate rest and exercise, and  improving self-esteem with positive outlook in life. Try to cut down on caffeine and drink plenty of water. A good multivitamin with vitamin C daily may also help.

If it still persists, further evaluation by her doctor is warranted. Take care and regards.

Another thing that may help, about 7 years ago, she fell face first off of her bike going down hill. She was severly injured, with a few sprains, and fractures, and essentially her entire face torn up. the rest of her body was covered in bad cuts and scrapes.
