1st Kiss ... help?!?!

Hi.

I'm involved in my school play, and my part requires me to kiss this guy. We are going to practice the kiss tomorrow, but the thing is ... I've never kissed anyone before. And (i don't mean to sound like i have a low self esteem) most guys consider me "one of the boys", and not exactly attractive. I don't mind that they think that, it's just I have acne, have facial hair (embarrassing i know, and i wax/pluck, but i never seem to get all of it)  ... and I'm worried that he doesn't want to kiss me. He's had experience, I haven't.

What's worse is that the scene is ME kissing HIM. not the other way around. How can I make the kiss successful and not awkward?

Ah...the "theate art's"....this one is easy, go into your "character", close your eyes and don't kiss him directly on his lips, aim for below or above the lips. Just remember it's all "pretend"....get into the character you are portraying, aim for above or below lip and go for it. Make it quick and believable then.....run!!!! just kidding  :)

it's not personal. i'm sure he's not agonizing about it. it's only a play. just do it. if you can't tell the director and they can find someone else to do the role.

Just go for it!  Act confident, and no one will know that you are scared to death inside!    You are brave to even be in this position,  so just give it all you've got!
