about my ex girlfriend is made at me

last week thursday my ex girlfriend told me her ex best friend savanna was saying stuff about her. i thought it would be nice of me to go up to savanna and have a talk about her saying stuff that is not true about my ex girlfriend amanda, so at lunch friday i told my ex gf what i said to savanna,amanda said  why did you do that patrick , i said i just dont want you hurt. she said i cant belevie you did that patrick. amanda said patrick im really mad at you right now and i said to her i was sorry for doing it and she said i forgive you.So today she didnt say anything to me at all till i  talked to her after 4th bloth  and i said hi to her and she said nothing back but give me a dirty look, i said amanda what did i do now she said im still mad at you for what you did  i said amanda im really sorry, we talked about it today and she said i forgive you patrick but dont do anything like that again. I  wont to know if i did the right thing about talking to her ex best friend savanna , and telling  my ex gf  amanda what i did, she still is mad at me for what i did. the only reason why i did it cause i still love her and right now we are just really good friends. did i really do the right thing. thank you for reply to my questions patrick

Yes, I agree.  I think your heart was in the right place but this backfired on you.  Hey, you tried, right?  Live and learn.  You mentioned a lot of ex's in there . . . this is important to remember.  I know you still love her and you are now friends but be careful of being pulled along by her.  Okay?

Although it seems counter productive NEVER to to fix a womens emotional problems!

All you needed to do was listen and empathise with her. They would have sorted it out between themselves eventually.
