What a great post! I love to brag on my husband, lol. :-) Where do I start?
He is very affectionate and does things like run his hands through my hair, rub my back, hold me in a hug for a few minutes, or even give me a foot massage. I especially like when he plays with my hair. :-)
He has a great sense of humor, oftentimes unexpected, and he'll do or say something that will have me in giggling fits for hours on end, lol.
He sometimes sends me corny romantic little text messages that make my day. :-D He sent me a text yesterday that said "I'm so lucky to have a girl like u!" Nothing much, but more than enough to make me smile. What's better is that he tells me stuff like that every day anyway, but random text messages and emails that say those things just make my day all the better. For a while, the background on his cell phone was a big heart that said "I ♥ my wife!" (now it's been replaced with a smiling baby picture, lol). He got teased to no end by the guys he works with about that, but he said whenever they'd pick at him, he'd just smile and brag about me.
He offers to take me out on a date at least once a month, and he will let me choose whatever I want to do or where I want to go.
He's a wonderful dad to the boys and does anything he can to help me with whatever I need for them, from diaper changes, bath time, keeping them entertained, or even a few hours of complete care for them so I can sleep in or go somewhere on my own like a taekwondo lesson.
If I'm sick or really tired or something like that, he waits on me hand and foot. He also regularly does stuff around the house to keep things tidy. I have never had to ask him to do anything to help out, because he's usually already gotten it done. :-)
What a great question. It is nice to hear the positive side of relationships too.
My husband gets up with me in the morning and makes the coffee, pours me a cup and brings it to me while I am getting the children ready for school. He then cleans of the car and starts it for me. When he comes home he helps me clean up the kitchen after dinner, all this makes me happy and lets me know he loves me but when I see him sitting with our children and reading or playing games with them I think that is the moment I am happiest.
You all sound like you have loving partners! I love to hear the thoughtful things that they do for us!
my husband does little things. if i'm having a really rough day he'll make dinner and semi clean (he does the man clean. lol) up afterward. if i had a really bad night he'll get up with the kids, make breakfast and get everything started for the day. he'll just randomly grab me and give me a big kiss telling me he loves me. if it's cold, rainy out he'll take the dog for her walk so i don't get cold and wet.
Flowers... my boyfriend always surprises me with flowers. And, he'll leave them just about everywhere... on the windshield of my car; on the bed spread; inside the shower/ bathtub; inside of a paper grocery bag that's sitting on top of the kitchen table; on my computer desk chair; or, he'll have one of my co-workers tape them to the door of my work locker. When I least expect it, is when he leaves me the flowers and that always makes my day!
Awww, your husband sounds so sweet specialmom! And Richie is too Jezi!
My husband does a lot of things to let me know he loves me. He's such a goofball and is always doing silly things like right before getting in the shower, he'll strip down with his back turned to me and he does this booty shaking thing that ALWAYS makes me laugh! Every night before he leaves for work he hugs me and holds me tight for a good minute and then gives me a kiss. On the rare occasion that we actually get to sleep in bed together, he always cuddles with me. He tells me all the time how much he appreciates everything I do for him, the kids and the house. He calls me his #1 draft pick...LOL! When we're out grocery shopping or shopping in general and I ask him if I can pick out something (for myself) he'll say "Whatever you want, you're the boss" or "If it makes you happy." When I am extremely stressed out he'll tell me to sit down and he'll take over for whatever I'm doing or he'll offer a massage. He's a great father to the kids although they drive him insane like they do me! LOL! I definitely have a good one, faults and all, I love him more than anything!
Aaawww, he's a good husband specialmom.
Gee let's see...when my fiance and I are laying in bed and he tells me to move close to him and he cuddles with me and tells me he loves me. It's small but the way he says it is so genuine. When he wakes up with Jayden and takes him to the livingroom to let me sleep in. He's a morning person and I'm not at all. When he asks me out on a date. We always make plans together but when he actually comes to me and says, "do you want to go to the movies on Saturday?" I feel like a young, new couple all over again. When he compliments my cooking...lol. It makes me feel appreciated.
