My husband has the same and all the experts say there is nothing to be done. I am hoping that is not true. He had no injury or trauma and is only 49 years old. Never smoked, etc. Now he has 1 lung because of phrenic nerve. I am always hoping some new thing comes along. 6 months no activity on sniff test, so its really not working at all. I hope you get some answers as they may help us as well.
dear pigzie...im getting my x rays back tomorrow....and ive to get the sniff test in december......i am in scotland so can get NHS help....whatever happens .....there are operations i believe.....once i get more more info i'll let you know.....try and get a scan ....the kind they give to pregnant women....this scan can pick up disruptions in the nerve.......i hope your husband can ge some kind of help.....all the best
I have my left phrenic nerve pinched, presented with shortness of breath
but only felt on the left.
My back neck is also suffering a tendinitis caused by this neuropathy.
When I tilt my head to either left or right, I can hear what I think is the
sound of friction between the cerivical plexus and the muscle/tendon.
What specialist should I see??
My husband has suffered a similar condition with no explained reason for this, he is a fit 45 year old man and is struggling to do anything without being breathless since this happened just over 3 weeks ago. Have you recovered?
