Reactive Airway Disease

I was recently diagnosed and know little about this. Would like any info available.  Education does so much to ease things up!

I've been thinking on this.  It seems RAD, if it's what causes my problems had to do with reacting to things in the environment.  The dr mentioned people reacting to perfumes, etc., in the conversation.  This leads me to believe RAD is whatever causes us to react to things no one else does, generally.

Things that have helped me are switching to all natural cleaning and body care products. I rid my home of all chemicals I can and use as natural products as possible.  For home and body, I use Melaleuca products.  When we had to replace carpeting and paint, we made sure the new carpet/vinyl put in were formadehyde/chemical free.  We're having work done on our home and contractors will be told not to use glues and to use products as green as we can afford.

Staying away from chemicals seems to be the only way to prevent certain reactions I have.  Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, it still doesn't tell us if this is the problem or not.

If you hear anything please let me know.  My teenage son has been diagnosed with RAD, too.  I am not sure exactly what it is and is it ever going to stop.  He is unable to attend school.  I would like to know more too.  The best to you.
