Spirometry test problems

I had a spirometry test today, and felt lightheaded with a headache during/shortly after the test. Is this normal? Didn't tell the tech since I didn't want to seem like a baby, but my mom was concerned as it never happened to her during her test. This also happens when taking deep breaths for lung auscultations in physicals.

Side info: had a PFO saline contrast test, showed late positive during rest and after valsalva. I've been told it could indicate a pulmonary shunt; unsure if that's a big problem. I get short of breath when sitting or laying in certain positions, as well as during/shortly after exercise. Often get dizzy/lightheaded when standing up fast with a headache.
