Sounds like you are making progress.

I would try an over the counter anti-contestant such as Benadryl D to see if that helps relieve the congestion... and a nasal spray such as Afrin (or story brand of same type).  These in general should not be used for more than a few days in a row.. but if they help it tells you it can be cleared, the blockage is not physical - something dislocated or such.

For longer term membrane relief a simple saline spray (salt water) may help, I find some relief using the saline spray and I find 12 hour relief with the Afrin type spray, but use it only when I feel like a special night of sleep is needed.  I have discussed all this with my Primary Care but I have never been examined by an ear/nose/throat specialist, other than a Pulmonary specialist but that was to check my lungs and throat for obstructions or lung disease - fortunately for me it was obstruction that was causing me to have low oxygen saturation in the blood - the reason I was checked by a pulmonary specialist... but I wounder, hope if has been of some help.

Thank you so much for the quick response. the congestion even when I'm not lying down. it feels as if I have flu, but I do not have flu, its been going on for over a month now. Now when I cough or laugh so much there is a bit of some irritation, kind of pain on my chest. The pain is shifts, sometimes its severe on my left sometimes on my right side. the pain in my stomach has gone. was prescribed Omeprazole capsules by my Doctor.

Is the nasal congestion all the time or just when lying down, as when sleeping?  Does the blockage ever move to the other side?  How long has this congestion been giving problems - could it be an allergic reaction to something in your environment?

I can't make any connection between the nasal congestion and the chest pain.  Did they start about he same time?

I ask the above to see if you can give more information that may help others contribute - as always best to see a doctor about any symptoms that are unfamiliar and last for more than a few days.
