Hi, If your having some unnatural discharges that concern you its best to see an OBGYN and have a good check up. If this is something youve had before, it could be a natural yeast infection. If you suspect BV, again have your OBGYN take care of this.
did they only do urine testing when you were seen or did you also get a proper exam?
if no exam was done, you'll need to go back and get properly tested for vaginitis. No self treating and guessing it's yeast either - women only accurately self diagnosis yeast 30% of the time and delaying treatment for what is really going on is never in your best interest :(
I would certainly continue to avoid sex at this point too. whatever infection is causing your symptoms, could trigger your hsv1 to shed too.

I really thi k it is BV. The irritation has increased and I am seeing a heavier discharge. Tried to call my doctor and they are closed until 7a tomorrow. I will be sure to call them at that time. I'm just not noticing any blisters like I usually get with OB and this has been going on since Saturday.
Now I'm really confused. Went to Dr today and he took a sample. He said he did not see any bacteria or yeast. He also said he did not see signs of Trich or Gonorrhea. He sent the sample off for DNA testing. I was tested in March for Gonorrhea so if that is it, I know who the culprit is. He said the discharge could just be physiological and the acidity of it is causing the irritation. He gave me a corticosteroid for the irritation. Any thoughts on what it could be or if it is just physiological discharge what could cause that?
Thanks!
