Did I mess up the curing process for my Chlamydia?

Hi. I was recently diagnosed with having Chlamydia, and I was given pill antibiotics for both me and my partner to take. It’s day 4 of the 7 I am supposed to wait, in order to have any type of sex (oral, anal, vaginal.) Last night, my partner and I were a little turned on and decided to masturbate each other. I gave him a hand job, while using a tiny bit of my saliva to lubricate his penis and he fingered me. At no point was there mouths to genital, or genitals to mouths! Or any genital to genital contact or sexual fluid contact to mouth, vagina or anus. Just hands, which we both washed after. My question is, did I mess up my curing process, or reinfect myself with Chlamydia or give him Chlamydia with our acts?

No, you didn't reinfect yourself, or transmit it to him.

Is it possible he's your source - have you had sex with him before? If you have, and it's been recent, he needs to be treated, and that treatment needs to happen before having sex with him.

Chlamydia is not found orally. In theory, it can be transmitted by oral sex, but most experts say they haven't ever seen a case of oral chlamydia, so if it happens, it's very rare.

Yes, we have had sex before, as he is an ex. Him and I have both had different partners before getting back together though.

& he is taking treatment just like I am, we both started it on the same day, and time 4 days ago. Him and I just got two different doses of the pill, prescribed by the doctor!

We will not be having sex or seeing each other til our week of treatment is completed after day 7 is over!

Thank you so much for your answer.
What doses did you get? You should get 1000 mg, or 1 gm, of azithromycin, taken at one time.

If either of you got less than that, you may not be cured.

I got 4 pills, & he got 2 take, of azithromycin. All taken at one time.

His were 2 of 500mg, & I don’t have the container with me to check my dosage. But I’m pretty sure it was more than 1000mg. Will check when I get home!
So long as they equaled at least 1000 mg, or more, you're both fine. Your pills may have been 250 mg, which together comes to 1000 mgs. Some give 2000 mg, which isn't necessary, but won't hurt you, other than some nasty side effects that will go away.
