NGU - caused by hidden Mycoplasma- or Enterococcus?

Hi

After an incident about 9 months ago (oral, unprotected) from a woman I've been trying to get to the bottom of what I've contracted. I was originally diagnosed with NGU and took azithromycin. Following this I had recurrent bouts of testicular and UTI type pain, and some joint pain in my ankles, hands, and gritty eyes - so this felt like mild Reiters. I had multiple (more than 20) tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea - always negative. I had 2 negative tests each for Ureaplasmas and Mycoplasma Genitalium, and negative for Trich and Syphlis. Took lots of Doxy in between, leaving 4 weeks after before my last MG and UU test.

Finally I had a positive NGU test and, after further culturing, turned out to be an Enterococcal infection. Took an antibiotic for that.

Pain appeared to subside but has since reoccurred. So I'm suspicious that it was all down to an Enterococcal infection.

Any thoughts on what I might have had?

You still checking this thread? If so, pm me. I have exactly the same symptoms as you. They found enterococcus in my semen. All std tests have been negative.

... or is it more likely to be MG or chlamydia lurking somewhere like the prostate?
