chlamydia not going away

I went to the doctors and they gave me the meds the same day its been a week and it's not going away.   Do I need more meds?

...urethritis is not necessarily gonorrhea or chlamydia. There are also other kinds of non-specific urethritis that may cause problems.

..to your doctor, explain the situation and get re-checked for urethritis. Just as simple as that!

Yes gonorrhea was negative. And its been 2 weeks and his doctor told him he was negative.  We've slept together many times.

....5 days after exposure is an ok time to test, but it may show up before. Were you tested and received a verified diagnosis? Was gonorrhea excluded?

My boyfriend got tested and he was negative.  How long does it take to show?

give it another week and see how it is. if not better then follow up with your Dr.

Its not as itchy but its still red and uncomfortable.

It can often take 2 weeks for all symptoms to be gone. Have symptoms started to lessen?
