Reliability of STD test

In mid of January, I had sex using condom with a prostitute and she also gave (unprotected) oral sex on me.  Until early April, I had no obvious symptom of STD such as discharge, rash painful urination etc.  However recently, I felt slight discomfort at my prostate or rectum (don't know exactly where).

I perform STD test using urine and blood sample.  Before collecting my urine, doctor also massage my prostate to secrete some semen.

My test result was negative for both Chlamydia and Herpes.  Doctor say I am not infected with STD.  He prescript me an alpha-blocker just to 'relax' my prostate muscle.

My question is , how reliable is the test?  Can I absolutely rule out Chlamydia and Herpes?

Is there a possible for prostate muscle to 'cramp'?

I am extremely worry that I have prostatitis cos i understand it is hard to treat as antibiotic is hard to penetrate into prostate.  Is it possible for a person not to show any obvious STD symptom and get prostatitis?

Did you google prostatitis or chronic pelvic pain in men?  That will you far more detailed info than I can give you in one post.

And if all your std tests are negative, you don't have an std.

Yes, I did the Herpes Simplex Type 2 IgC test and result is negative also.

So, very likely I am not infected.  Is It?

What else could cause prostatitis? Doctor prescribe a alpha-blocker drugs to me for trying is the condition improve.

Not all prostatitis comes from sex.

You had protected sex.  Oral sex doesn't transmit chlamydia, so you are fine there.  Did you have a herpes test?  If you had an IgG test, and its negative, you can relax about that too.

It seems like you don't have an std.

You should google chronic pelvic pain in men to get some good info on prostatitis.  (CPP is the new name for prostatitis.)
