Symptoms still persisting

Hello.  Was diagnosed w chlamydia and have been on doxy.  Finished a weeks course.  Suffered the same symptoms after it was over.  Back on doxy for a 2week course now but its still not good.  My urine is cloudy, spotty, looks like little white lines sometimes.  This is constant.  And the urge to pee or bladder being full remains.  Tested neg for chlamydia now but not understanding why im not feeling 100% better.  Can this possibly be something other than given what ive described?  Have an appt w the urologist but not til two weeks from now.  Im freaking out as this is coming to be close to a month now w these lingering symptoms.  And idea or thought of what this could be is greatly appreciated.  Is the medicine not working?  is what im feeling normal?  Pls help.  Thanks.

How long after the second course of antibiotics did you tested, as there is the possibility of a false negative if it was too close. The rule of thumb for chlamydia is three consecutive negative tests spaced a month each before you can be considered cured.
1. If there is no coinfection with a different microorganism then the most likely explanation
2. Chlamydia causes epithelial and nerve cell damage, and a persistent inflammation so give it a bit of time, for the symptoms to subside.  Take a lot of fluids, calendula officinalis tea helps alot, garlic also.
3. And when you are at the urologist ask for a full bacterial panel.

Be disciplined in mind and body and best of luck.

I tested about 10days after the initial 7day course of antibiotics was finished.  That 2nd test came back negative as mentioned.  I will ask for the full bacterial panel as you suggested.

Do the fragments of white lines, cloudy pee and /or spotty looking at the end of urination sound like the infection is still persistent or its an effect of the trauma?

I will be done w the 2nd course next week.  Which i started a week ago but im on a two week binge this time.  Same medicine, docxy.  Is there a chance i should be taking another medicine?

I also have trouble sleeping throughout the night.  As i lay down, the urge to pee becomes significant and dont feel right at all.  Does this fall in line w Chlam?

Thank you for your suggestions, this is super frustrating.
Yeah, that's too soon. You should wait at least 3 weeks after finishing the meds to test.

"As i lay down, the urge to pee becomes significant and dont feel right at all.  Does this fall in line w Chlam?" - no, but that could happen with prostatitis. Has that been checked?

Try shifting positions to see if it helps relieve that feeling.

Finish the doxy, see if it helps. If it doesn't, make an appt with a urologist.

I'm sorry that you aren't feeling better. :(
So an update…i went back to the urologist and he didnt think or want to test further for other possibilities.  Said its just an irritated prostate area which will effect all the things around it, including my symptoms.

Its been basically two months now since ive received a positive diagnosis.  Went on doxy for 7days.  Then went again for 2weeks.  Along w that, they gave me something along the lines called alzurin which is supposed to relax the muscles to help urinate.  Tested for bacterias and chlam again which were all negative.  But im still having issues w sleeping comfortably throughout the night w/out waking up to pee.  Irritation constantly when laying down flat on back.  Testicles seem sore, sometimes hurts when urinating, feels like im moving sludge inside my urethra, low stream, tip of the penis looks and feels swollen, my urine looks cloudy every morning w/out fail (doesnt look right) etc..

Im not sure what else to do here.  Feel like i dont even want to have sex cause i fear any setbacks.  Why hasnt this gone away completely??  Is this just a waiting game or should i get a second opinion?  Feel like maybe my primary can advise but am i just over testing at this time and what else exactly should i be testing for??

This is super frustrating, just want to be ok again.  Pls help!
All of those symptoms sounds like prostate to me. Follow up with your primary, for sure, and the urologist. It's been months now. If you feel like the first urologist brushed you off, get a second opinion. Did the first uro even examine you?

Take another chlamydia test. Ask for a mycoplasma test, too.
I didn’t think testing for Mgen was necessary from receipt of oral !!!
Oh I didn't look at the previous posts where Redskin said he had oral sex only. If that's the only possible exposure, then mycoplasma testing isn't necessary.

Also, though, reading through previous posts, he's been complaining of pain with urination for years, among other symptoms.

Redskin - you've had prostatitis symptoms for a long, long time. Google chronic pelvic pain syndrome or chronic non-bacterial prostatitis.

Sorry aunt Jess , I wasn’t criticising your answer , just a bit confused,,, your a godsend for a lot of people with your knowledge and compassion.
No worries, I should have looked at the history.

It's also really helpful if people include that - like a brief recap. :)
