Well, In a large percentage of men gonorrhea don't show symptoms so you can never trust a person "not showing symptoms" to not have anything with or even without his knowledge.
gonorrhea takes between 2 days to a week Usually to start showing symptoms. While oral gonorrhea is not as common as genital, it's entirely possible the sore throat could be a symptom for gonorrhea.
But bare in mind also that a sore throat could be a symptom of various illnesses including the common cold or even just of a night out singing loudly.
If you are concerned you can get tested, the test is very simple (throat swab test) or a urine sample for the genital one.
Thanks Eyyl. Can I get tested now or I need to wait for a few days before I get tested for any STDs?
Most STI's can be detected as soon as they're symptomatic (some even before). Gonorrhea is one of them. You can get tested.
I differ on this over 90% of men would show symptoms of gonorrhea. I see no major need for testing as your risk was low.
