I got the test results today: Negative for Syphilis, Chlamydia, and Gonorrhea. I did the test on day 27 after the exposure. My GP was very much reluctant even to test for any of these saying that I had hardly STD exposure from this experience. But to my surprise, he didn't gave me NGU test, which I thought he did. I get my result using my portal ID; so couldn't have the chance to ask.
Can you kindly comment on the following questions:
1. Should I ask for an NGU test? Could they picked up NGU infection if I have it while testing for chlamydia/gonorrhea? (I had a urine sample for these and blood for syphilis)
2. Is my syphilis result too early to be conclusive given my exposure?
All the best,
Are you sure this is a node and not something else? You should definitely get that checked as if it is, it could indicate lots of things, not just STDs.
If she gave you oral, there is a chance you could get NGU and gonorrhea. The briefer it was, the less of the chance.
In theory, you could also get genital herpes type 1 and syphilis, but those are less common, and unless she had a sore, I wouldn't worry too much (and again, the briefer the oral was, the less of a chance).
You say your genitals "might" have touched hers - or at least that is what I think you meant. If that's the case, you could be at risk for syphilis, herpes type 2, and maybe chlamydia or gonorrhea, but without penetration, those last two would be really doubtful.
There is no risk from hands.
No HIV risk at all without penetration.
