About syphilis

I had a exposure with an unknown status girl about a month ago. In 28th days I had HIV duo ultra test and RPR for syphilis. The result was HIV negative and syphilis is reactive with 1:2 dil. Since I had no sex experience before and which means am I being positive with syphilis? And also would like to know can syphilis will always stay reactive even after finished the cure? Can I assume that I am completely negative with HIV?

Please kindly help me with these questions.
Thanks in advance

If you've had syphilis before, you can test positive with a low result for the rest of your life, though not everyone will do that.

Did they do any confirmatory testing to see if you actually have syphilis or not? If you have a reactive test, they should do another test - a different type of syphilis test - to see if it confirms the first test.

Have you had any sores on your penis or in your mouth?

Oh and your HIV is conclusively negative.
Thank you for your comment since It was my first having exposure with girl so this would be my first time. According to your comments, result might be end up as still reactive after having a cure?

(Most of the Doctors in our country assume that being reactive in RPR test means positive so they don’t tell me to have test with TPHA altho microbiologist did.)

I am not sure but I suspected I have single sore look alike at my penis and some cold sore or herpes like things at under my lips.( tiny circles with pale color)
Yes, it might be, but not everyone stays reactive. You might not. The only way to know is to test later.

Did you test with the TPHA? Was that reactive?

Did you perform oral sex on her? If you didn't, it's unlikely that the sores on your lips are syphilis. The sore on your penis might be. A syphilis sore usually appears between 10-90 days, with the average being 3 weeks.

Did they treat you? How was it treated?

I hope it turns out to be negative. They don’t told me to test with TPHA since I already have reactive result on RPR test.   They said syphilis can be cure so they recommend me to be cured with syphilis medicine.

Unfortunately, yes I did some oral sex on her. Actually I noticed that sores on my penis and lips were on 26 days.

I took pep for 28 days on 91 hours of exposure but for syphilis there is no medicine to prevent they said.
Did they give you a shot for the syphilis or pills? Do you know if it was penicillin or doxycycline? Something else? If you haven't taken any medicine yet, don't, and ask for the TPHA. Your RPR result is low enough at 1:2 to be a false positive.

Noted ma’am, actually I still haven’t taken the shot for syphilis yet. Then I will take a TPHA test first. Thank you for your help.
Updated : I took a test for TPHA and the result is non reactive which mean I can relief for now?
(Doctor in my country said anti gen result are more clear on 28th, for other days the result might be wrong)
That’s why I am worrying about that
If you had a neg TPHA, that means you do not have syphilis. Your RPR was a false positive, or you had an infection in the past.

You do not have a current, active infection.
