Advice wanted

I wonder if anyone can help me and put my mind at ease. I am from the uk and have seen a few escorts over the last year. I now wish to stop doing this and so was tested today (25/03/14) the escorts I have seen I have only received unprotected oral from and on occasions performed on them also. I last visited an escort on 28/02/14 and have since had sex with my long term girlfriend. I have no symptoms of anything at all and neither does she but I'm still worried as that's in my nature. I feel a lot of guilt when I see my gf which is part of why I'm not seeing escorts anymore.

Do you think I should be concerned? Also the nurse today said to have a repeat blood test in 3 months? Do you think this is needed as from reading posts syphilis and HIV are very very rare from receiving oral?(I have no canker at day 25) One last question, how much am I at risk from other sti from my activities

Many thanks and hope to hear back

I'll assume MOVE ON means nothing to worry about and just get on with life and stop worrying about everything. Sorry to have bothered you but thanks for being decent enough to reply. Alan

Thanks. I have used johnsons baby oil gel for masturbation a few times now and the last time it stung a little after finishing. Is this anything to worry about or was it just maybe a bit of product going down the wrong part??

Thanks

Not syphilis.

Either use a condom for oral or stop seeing prostitutes.

Hi vance. We spoke on here a few months ago. Just wanted some further advice. I had unprotected oral sex from an escort on 9/10/14. She assured me she always uses condoms for penetration. That same night after the event I noticed a red mark on the head of my penis. This was no longer than 30mins after and I hadn't noticed it before. The mark was red and no more than 3mm - 4mm in size. There was no red margin or serum leaking and was not ulcerated, raised or hard. What are the chances of this being a syphilis chancre? It is now 15/10/14 and although the mark is yet to disappear it is almost gone and is very dull now. It didn't get any worse after the event, only got better. Could this just be a mark from the rough ish oral?

I promise this will be my last question to you on this subject as I'm sure you are tired of answering me now. The sore I mentioned on my gum in the last post has now turned white and painless? Only small and isn't eroded nor getting worse from what I can see. Also no fluid leaking. Still not stphilis? Thanks. Alan

Thanks. Have done that and I don't seem to have nor have had anything like that. I am however getting a few mouth sores of late and am wondering if this can be a sign of any stage of syphilis? These sores hurt more like an ulcer would and are not round or hard or have an eroded surface etc. am I worrying over nothing? And could my constant worry bring on these sores? I again go back to the fact I have no recollection of having contact with a chancre and only performed oral on 3 escorts the latest of which (as per last out) was for minimal duration. Thank you for your time. It is much appreciated. A

Hi vance.
What is the difference between a normal mouth ulcer and a chancre? I have an ulcer but due to my nature, I worry it's a syphilis chancre. It's very small and not inflamed but I always fear the worst. The previous post you kindly answered is still the same yet I still worry. Does worry, anxiety and stress cause mouth ulcers? Sorry if my questions are annoying you but I value your input. Thanks

No it is not syphilis. Yes you have to have direct contact with a syphilis sore.

Hi vance.

Hoping you can help me again. Yesterday (02/04/14) I noticed a tiny blood blister on the inside of my cheek. No more than 1-2mm in size. This popped and is now all but gone. Just a light mark remaining. I'm worried this could be a syphilis chancre? I know you said it was very unlikely from oral but just wondering. Have no other symptoms and it has 32 days after last receiving oral, so well over average 21. I had in a escort meeting on 19/3/14 and due to position, licked her vagina with only the tip of my tongue for only 2-3 seconds max. There was no visible sore on her and from what I have read you have to have direct contact with a chancre for it to be transmitted??

Hope you can help
Alan

Ok cool. Thanks for advice. If no symptoms in the next two weeks then would you say its unlikely for me to get it? Will still have blood test for peace of mind tho. Do I still need to wait a further 3 months?

means no way you can have it. each STD has a window period so after a certain time frame is when testing is advised.

One more thing if you don't mind, do you think I need a repeat blood test in 3months? No fear of HIV after reading posts and also no syphilis symptoms 25 days after last visit? I think these are th two tested for with blood test? Thanks. A

Thanks vance. That helps a lot. Have read the HIV posts and not concerned there. Had the full test today but it's good to know that you see no reason to be overly concerned. Should help my wait period for results. Thanks again. A

HIV questions post in the HIV forum.
Syohilis would be a low risk possibility and would not be concerned. Gonorrhea or NGU would be the biggest risk of an overall low risk situation.

I would complete full STD testing, but see no reason to be overly concerned.
