Can Chlamydia return?

So, Doctor has tested and sent 2 urine samples off and both returned “normal”. Only showing a slight increase in white blood cells in my urine, no bacteria, infections, etc. I have had Chlamydia 2 years ago and was treated with antibiotics. Since, I’ve had the same sexual partner. And we’ve both been faithful, I’ve no concerns about that. 100%.
I’ve not been tested for Chlamydia since treatment however, as I assumed it was gone.

To my questions.
- Do urine samples sent via doctors check for STD’s? (I only ask, as the doctor suggested a GUM clinic visit. Wouldn’t it just show in the urine samples I provided him? Even though an STD wasn’t suspected at the time?). Or do their labs check for other abnormalities besides STD’s?
- Can Chlamydia return, even though you’ve done the treatment for a previous infection? (And had no other sexual encounters outside the same person?).
- Can Chlamydia cause back pain? (As my back is killing me. Lower back especially). Maybe vertigo too?

After UTI’s were ruled out, my doctor checked my records and said “Well, you’ve had Chlamydia, there’s a good chance it’s that.” My symptoms are very Chlamydia-like. But I’ve had no new sexual partners since. Neither has my partner.

Thanks for an responses!
