To be honest I have never heard of a cream that would cure gonorrhea. I will have someone else take a look just to make sure. But I think you will have to follow up with your Dr and get some real medication for gonorrhea.
And use condoms all of the time everytime. Birth control is not going to stop STD's or HIV.
Absolutely not, and I am horrified that your doctor would think this. You need antibiotics, and not an anti-fungal cream, unless you also had a fungal infection.
He might have thought that antibiotics would weaken your bc pill - and it might - but that's not the priority here. Treating an infection is. After you get the antibiotics, you will need to have NO sex - oral, vaginal, anal - for 7 days. Use a condom after that at least until your next period for a back up for the pill.
All your recent partners (last 3 months) need to be notified and treated. No sex with any of them until it has been 7 days since they got treated.
Aj
How long does it take for 100mg of cefixime (surpax) to cure gonorrhea and how many pills should be taken?
did your doctor prescribe this or are you self treating?
grace
I am treating myself. I ordered 100mg of doxycycline instead of cefixime. I am going to the doctor to get checked out again after the 7 day treatment to make sure i am cured. Or do you think I should check with my doctor before i start the medication process?
does doxycycine cure gonorrhea?
doxycycline is not effective against gonorrhea.
I'm going to be very straight forward here and I hope you heed my advice. You need to go and be seen somewhere else. Get properly tested for std's AGAIN and get properly treated. Your partner also needs treated. This is not something to mess around with at home and either your provider screwed up royally originally or there's some sort of miscommunication somewhere between your provider and you as to what is really going on. This is not something to mess around with so follow up properly on all of this.

ok thank you I will do it. I tried telling my partner but he doesnt not think he has it so he is not going to waste his time checking it out which I think he is being very stupid about. I just know that I am never going to touch him ever again or anyone else until I get married.
well if you do have a STD, he has to be checked and treated.
Can the gonorrhea bacteria still linger in the body even though went through the curing process once before? because my ex boyfriend caught it twice and went through the process of getting cured twice. I was close to losing my virginity but he still passed it on to me through genital skin contact.
gential skin contact...can you describe that a little bit more as to exactly what happend?
Yea i know but he will not listen to me. We even fussed over the phone about him still having it because there is no way that I could get it when he was the only one I attempted to have sex with...and a virgin when i was with him.
The skin contact was when the head of the penis touched the outside of my vagina but it didnt go in
I doubt that you got gonorhea from that. Did you have symptoms or just test positive?
yes i tested positive the doctor found it on or near my cervix
gonorrhea is a reportable std in most states. Your provider should've reported your infection to the health department for them to follow up on. It really sounds like your bf has not adequately treated his gonorrhea and is still passing it on. He needs to follow up on this. No more nakedness with him until he does. Be very firm and if he stays stubborn, call your local health department about it all yourself so that they visit him and MAKE him follow thru on this!!!
Not properly taking care of this can affect your future fertility. Don't in the future pay for something that wasn't taken care of properly now.

ok thanks for the info.... and hes definitely not my bf anymore but I will try.
