They did not test my white blood cells. The doctor prescribed Cefixime and Azithromycin.
Thank you, any additional guidance is appreciated.
Did they also test your urine for white blood cells?
1. If the test comes back negative is there any chance I could have passed something to my girlfriend? For example the STI was still in an incubation state and didn't show up on the test.
No, at 7 days it would have shown on the test.
However, there is something called NGU. This is a non-specific infection in the urethra caused by any bacteria that isn't gonorrhea. It can be caused by bacteria like strep, which normally resides in the throat but can enter the urethra during oral sex, or by normal bacteria that resides in the mouth.
This is why I asked if they tested you for white blood cells in your urine. It doesn't sound like it - maybe it was only a gonorrhea and chlamydia test you did online.
2. If the test comes back positive is there any chance or passing to my girlfriend since there was only approximately 30 hours between the encounters? For example the STI was in an incubation state and couldn't be passed.
Yes, there is a definite chance. Your partner will need to be treated to protect her health, and also so you will not be reinfected.
What antibiotics did they give you? If you test positive for gonorrhea, you should go to an STD clinic or your doctor to get a shot. There is a very specific treatment that is needed for that. It is resistant to other antibiotics.
