Can I catch an STI/Disease through an open sore

I have a cut on my inner, upper thigh. I put a bandaid on it to prevent it from bleeding on my pants. While I was walking I guess the bandaid pulled and caused another small tear in my skin around the edge of the bandaid. A few hours later I tried on 3 pairs of jeans in a very busy department store without realizing I had a new, uncovered open sore on my inner thigh.

Normally I would never worry about catching a disease from trying on pants. But, I'm a bit worried since the sore is on my inner, upper thigh near my vagina and it touched (presumably) dirty clothes that would have come into contact with another person's groin the last time(s) they were tried on. Is it possible that I could contract a virus or bacteria through the open sore when it touched the groin area of the jeans? Should I be concerned about STIs? Does the small sore increase my risk of catching anything? Can I transmit anything to my parter?
