Chance of STD/STI

This occurred yesterday.

Was with an escort and she gave me an unprotected rimjob for a couple minutes. She also licked around my balls and penis shaft (close to the heads at times) as well briefly putting the tip of my penis in her mouth for 1-2 seconds before I freaked out and told her that she can only do that with a condom. All the licking and teasing done before that was unprotected.

I know what i did was stupid and i really regret my actions. I'm worried that the damage is done already and I will have an STD/STI but I wanted to understand what are the chances of receiving it. Regardless of the answers I will get tested but I wanted to get an understanding of the risk. Maybe also put my mind at ease.

Thank you!

This is all really low risk.

The licking is no risk. Gonorrhea and chlamydia live in the throat. Licking doesn't put your penis in the throat, and the skin on your scrotum is too thick for germs to penetrate it.

It doesn't sound like the head of your penis was in her mouth long, and didn't go deep. Most experts don't think that one unprotected oral sex encounter warrants testing.

There could be a low risk for genital hsv1 (if you don't already have oral hsv1) and syphilis, but syphilis is rare in most developed countries, and for such a brief unprotected part of this, it's unlikely anything transmitted.

There is no risk for HIV, any hepatitis virus, etc.

You can test, but I wouldn't worry.

Hi!

Thank you for the explanation! I really appreciate it! You've eased my anxiety quite a bit! I'll probably test soon as I think about 3 weeks is ample time to get a positive result if I did potentially catch something.
The only possibilities - and they are very slim - are for genital hsv1 and syphilis.

Three weeks isn't enough to test for either one. If you want to test then to have a baseline, fine. You might already have hsv1 - many, many people do and don't know it.

If you don't have symptoms, you could skip the whole testing thing. This is really, really low risk.
