If your sexual encounter were protected you shouldn't be worrying about getting reinfected or infecting another person. Chlamydia spreads through penetrations, and it's not known to be transmitted through oral sex, so even engaging in oral intercourses, the possibilities of getting it are remote.
My advice is focusing more on having protected sex and leaving treatments as a secondary affair, as in my opinion, antibiotics shouldn't be used for preventing infections, as this way, they loose their effectiveness step by step.
All the best.
Agree with DragonPulse. Since it's unknown if you had it again, it's hard to say if you could transmit it. If you did have it again, you definitely could have transmitted it.
Repeat chlamydia infections could be harming you. They could damage your reproductive organs, causing scar tissue. While this can cause infertility, which may not be a concern for you, it can also cause chronic pain, which I'm sure concerns everyone.
Using condoms can prevent chlamydia 100%. Men will use them if you insist on them.
Thank you both, that is what I was thinking. I have never had an std before, so it was definitely a wake up call to use protection. Unfortunately, there is still a lot I don’t know so I wanted to do my research. Especially after I had a partner misinformed by a physician. Looks like it is condoms 100% of the time from now on for me. Thank you!
