Delayed STD symptoms?

Hi, for the last week, I've been experience penile discharge, a burning sensation when i pee, and the tip of my penis is red. All signs point to Gonorrhea or Chlamydia. I had sex about 3 weeks before the symptoms started, however, the girl i was with has not had sex with anyone else, and i do believe her. Before her, it had been 10 months since i had unprotected sex with anyone else. Is it possible that the symptoms took 10 months to show up? Everything I've read indicates that one month is at the upper limit of the time it takes for symptoms to appear. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

there are any other STD walk in clinics near you they are cheaper then the average bear... other then that I don't and if anyone post self testing... that is not advised =) just a heads up.

Let us know how things go and if someone else reads this I'm sure they will post some ideas for testing places =)

Thanks, yeah I'm planning to get tested, but I don't have health insurance and it's not cheap... I'm trying to get in to Planned Parenthood to get tested tomorrow, but it's hard to get in there because of high demand. Have any other suggestions for reasonably priced STD testing?

okay well then 10 months ago must have been it.

Read some of the experts post about chlamydia... you'll see continue post indicating that chlamydia and gono can have no symptoms at all.

The other thing is you don't say that you actually got tested you only say your symptoms and that it points to chlamydia and gono... you do realize it could be NGU or Trich, or even something else... you need to see your doctor and get tested to figure this out before making assumptions. =)

Yes, the girl that I've been having sex with for the past six months was a virgin before having sex with me. It's actually been an on and off thing for several years, but I was her first and she hasn't been with anyone else.

I will certainly be letting them know... The girl I've recently had sex, I have been exclusive with for the past 6 months or so, and I'm the only person she's had sex with. So, assuming she's not lying (and I really do believe her(and i'm a skeptic!)), then I got it ten months ago and it's only now showing. I just haven't read anything about the symptoms taking this long to show... Thank you for your help.

Please keep the posts coming, especially if you've ever heard of symptoms for Chlamydia or Gonorrhea taking this long to show...

but again.. just to make sure this is clear... Please tell both partners so that they can be tested and treated as chlamydia or gono can casue serious dmg to a females organs.

So, it's possible to contract the disease and then have no symptoms at all for ten months(for a male)?

Yes you could have had this before your last encounter... but honestly I wouldn't take anyones word these days, she was with you so why wouldnt she have been with someone else...

You def. have something going on you had two encounter and you should let both of them know so that they can get tested as well.

Get tested then treated =)
