dangers of infection from erotic massage for STD's

About a month ago I had an erotic massage (male to male). The masseur was naked and while I was lying on my front he pushed his penis between my legs. there was no penetration or ejaculation and it only lasted for three or four thrusts. He also inserted his finger in my anus.

Since then I have had a very itchy anal area. I went to the doctor. He said I did not have any blisters or swellings and has prescirbed a cream that did not work

He has now prescribed Canestan with hydrocortizone.

I am worried I may have contracted an STI from the massage. Is it possible and should I be checked out?

In theory, it's possible for you to have gotten an STI like syphilis or herpes, but syphilis would give you a painless, itchless sore, so it's probably not that. Herpes would give you blisters, so it's not likely to be that.

Also, you had really brief contact, which isn't likely to result in any transmissions of anything.

Nothing would be transmitted from him fingering you.

After this encounter, have you done anything differently than before? Did you use a lot of soap to clean? Use a wipe or anything? I don't think it's an allergic reaction to something you did that day only, but if since then, you've started using a different cleansing product or a wipe or anything, perhaps you have a reaction to that.

I'm not discounting your symptoms, but could it be anxiety? Do you notice less itch when you are busy and not thinking about it? Again, I'm not minimizing your symptoms. Anxiety can produce very real symptoms.

Try the cream the doctor prescribed. Lots of times, you need to use it after symptoms improve to make sure they don't come back. What was the first cream?

Oh and is the itch internal or external? If it's internal, did your doctor do an internal exam? You could have internal hemorrhoids or a fissure.
Hi there. thank you for your response. Yes the doctor did a digital rectal exam and said it was ok. He also did not find any fissures.

The redness and soreness has spread from between the anus and testicles up to the top between my buttocks.
he gave me proctosedyl cream and suppositories that have not worked.

now he has given me a cortizone and canestan cream. the itch is mainly external.

Yes it could be anxiety and guilt over the encounter. yes the itch is less noticeable when I'm busy and I ran a marathon at the weekend

So the first cream and suppositories he gave you are used to treat hemorrhoids and fissures. I'm not sure why he gave you those if he didn't find anything.

Spreading like that sounds fungal, like yeast, which canestan will help. Give it a try. Perhaps the marathon (go you!) increased the symptoms. I imagine running that long causes friction and chafing.

Give the cream a try, and see how it goes.
thank you for your kind words and replying so promptly. he said to use the cream for ten days so i will give it a go and try not to worry about it all. Thanks for running this forum.
Good luck, and let us know what happens. :)
the cream is helping. the itch is less intense although not gone yet and the redness is improving. it has been three days. The dr said it would take 7-10 so hoping it continues to improve
Good to hear! Thanks for the update. :)
