Well, most people don't have HIV, so the fact that you've only had one sexual encounter makes it unlikely that that one person has HIV.

You've been posting about this all over the forums for a few months now.  Have you gotten tested yet?

Over and over, I have said that its sounding like prostatitis, and my feelings on that haven't changed.

I don't know what else I can say to you except get tested.

this is just general curiosity.. why are you not likely to have HIV after 1 sexual experience? so guess lesson is.. after any unprotected encounter just get checked up.. my doc from what i said said since nothing has come about till 13 months after i had sex.. theres nothing to worry about and that its not an STD.. but thats not necessarily true then is it, me just like anyone in same situation could have 1?

Oh and yes, you can have HIV for many years without symptoms.

HIV wouldn't give you those symptoms, but prostatitis can.  You really should always ask your doctors what you are taking meds for, what the actual diagnosis is, etc.

If you are concerned about HIV, and you probably have no reason to be if you've only had one sexual experience, then just get tested.
