Bump

Hello about two days ago when I was showering I notice a huge red bump near the crest of my inner thigh near my vagina. I does not look like a pimple and I am very scared. I had one of these before and I went to the doctors but they said it would go away.  It is uncomfortable and I hope it is not herpes. I have recetly just got off my period and I was wearing pads and using tampons. I did rip a little hair the day I saw it when I removed my pad. My boyfriend looked at it but he said it would be ok... but I want another opinion. It does not smell of have a white head it is just red and big....

Thank you so very much this is what the hospital told me the last time I had one, but better safe than sorry. I am a hypocondriac so it helps for another opinion. I have tried the warm compress, and it has helped to go down a little, but I tend to move around a lot so I understand, It has only been three days so if it does not heal up I will make an appointment. Thanks AJ

This sounds like a boil or infected gland.  Try warm compresses (warm wet washcloth) on it, and if it doesn't go down in a few days, make an appt with your doc.
