Unprotected Sex

After a 7 month separation with my wife of 17 years, the concludion has been reached that we're divorcing (not by my choice). So, after never being with anyone else, on Saturday, before Valentine's day, I was out of town. I went to a bar, met a nice girl and we hooked up. I was drunk and so was she.

I did use a condom the first time we had sex, but we kept going after I asked if she was clean, to which she responded yes, she was recently tested, the results were she's negative and on the pill. I'm normally quite responsible and wouldn't do something like this.

Anyhow, sorry for the long winded story...

It's been 4 days and my symptoms are a slight tingling in my penis and slight pain in my pelvis. I've experienced the slight tingling before after having a long sexual session with my STBX. At first I thought the pelvic pain was because I literally went for around 90 minutes and it's just sore from using muscles I'm not used to using. This was definitely the longest session I've ever had...

There is no burning when I urinate and my penis looks normal.

I've researched a little bit on the web.

May I have gonoreha or chlamytia and when should I go to the Dr.? I guess I'ma bit nervous, scared and ashamed of myself right now and any advice would be much appreciated!

By the way, I don't intend on doing this often... It was more of a buildup situation.

Alright, well thanks again. If these pains continue, I may just have to bite the bullet, but we'll see!

I would recommend testing each 3 months when having unprotected sex with people you have not mutually tested with.

Thanks for replying! So, let's say the penis and pelvic pain go away... No harm, no foul? Or would you still recommend getting tested?

I do not believe the actual symptoms you describe are related to an STD/STI. I think stress and the fact that you've been using muscles not used in a while!!!

Remember the reason why they test for STIs is not because they necessarily cause symptoms, but because they don't in most people until it is too late. Hence you should test for bacterial STIs in two weeks.
