I'm a virgin and I just found out yesterday that I had pubic lice. I have a background in herbology and went about cleaning myself thoroughly, shaving completely, and then using tweezers picked each and every one off. Afterwards, I mixed some tea tree oil and vaseline and placed it around the area and went to the hospital for advice, just in case I needed an antibiotic shot or something else. I wasn't worried about it until I found out from a classmate that the seat I had been sitting in was the same seat that a student who was rumored to have them was. That was almost two weeks ago. This morning I got some RID and followed the directions precisely. I see no sign of any of them. I know there's still the possibility of nits and other issues, so I am applying a mixture of lavender, tea tree, and garlic oils to my body daily until the seven day period is up and I need to apply the RID again. I'll most likely continue it for at least another three months regardless to be sure.
My question, though, is is it likely that I have some kind of secondary std even though I never did anything with anyone? I know most of them are treatable or even curable, but I've shown no symptoms in almost two weeks at all. I live a pretty healthy lifestyle. I walk wherever I want to go as long as it's not more than two miles, I'm a vegetarian, and I drink a great deal of green tea. My point is, I haven't had any symptoms thus far of any kind of std, so is it still likely that I need to worry? I could really use some advice right now please.
