No. You have antibodies to that and those would protect you from spreading it.
If your doc says its fungal, then go with that.

I have a 2 to 3 cm around red spot on the tip of my penis. It's been there for about a week and a half. It appeared about three to four weeks after I had unprotected sex. It is flat, doesn't itch or burn. It's neither crusty nor ulcerated. It isn't bumpy or rough. Skin seems to peel away from it a little bit. When I stretch the skin out, the redness seems to be underneath. I've had an enlarged prostate issue in the past. I seem to have to urinate more often, and once in a while I have discomfort. I went to the clinic, the Dr. said that I don't have any symptoms of STD's. But I took a blood and urine test anyways. He said the red spot was a fungal infection, and that usually he would of just given me a prescription for medication and I would go on my way. I was wondering if you have a cold sore on your mouth, is there any way to transmit that to your genital region?
Redness at the tip of your penis can be from prostatitis, as can your other symptoms. You should follow up with your doctor.
